Assignment · Project 4: Tracked 3D Title
Weeks 11–13 · Runtime 10–15 seconds · Weight 15%
Brief
Track a handheld clip and attach 3D text or a graphic that sticks convincingly to the scene. Goal: motion that holds without slipping or jitter.
Classes that build it
- Week 11 — 3D Layers
- Week 12 — Motion Tracking
- Week 13 — Project 4 Wrap-Up
Must deliver
- A solved track (3D Camera Tracker or Mocha)
- 3D text/graphic that stays locked to the surface
- At least one camera or light interaction for depth
How it's graded
Scored on the course rubric (0–100) × 15%. A project that is portfolio-ready (80+) lands at the A/B boundary. See the Course Overview for the full rubric, then self-review before you submit.
Submitting your work
- Render your final movie to spec (H.264 MP4, 1080p, at the project's frame rate).
- Upload the rendered movie only — not the project or source files.
- Archive your project (collect files) into a single ZIP for your records.
See the course's Rendering and Submission pages for the exact steps.
