Alpha vs. luma mattes and the track-matte dropdown, using a shape or text layer to define what shows through — then footage-inside-type titles, animated mattes, stacking mattes, and when to reach for the Set Matte effect instead.

Exercise 6 · Through the Type — Reveal a fill through alpha and luma track mattes, then put footage inside type, animate it, stack mattes, and compare Set Matte.
